A statement is a summary of the invoices issued to and payments made by a client over a period of time. It provides a simple overview of the total amounts owed, and should be issued to every client on a regular basis.

Knack allows you to download a pdf statement or issue scheduled statements to any client in the system.

A statement includes;

  • A start and end date (usually 30, 60 or 90 days).
  • A total amount outstanding prior to the statement period.
  • A list of invoices issued over the statement period.
  • A list of payments made over the statement period.
  • A total amount due at the date of the statement.

Downloading a Statement

You can download a statement for a client at any time by either;

  • Using the main menu clients > manage > download statement. Select the company and the statement period and click the download button.
  • Going to a the client view > download statement.

Scheduling a Statement

You can schedule a statement to automatically be sent to a client on a regular basis. To do this, either;

  • Go to the client view > schedule auto statement.
  • Use the main menu clients > automation > view auto statements > schedule auto statement.

You will be required to choose;

  • A client to issue the statement for.
  • A frequency that you would like the statement to be sent on.
  • A startind date to begin sending statements.
  • The period of each statement (for example, if your starting date is 1 July and the period is 3 months, the statement will show data from 1 April to 1 July).
  • A user to notify (such as the client manager).
  • A client contact to send the statement to.

The statement will be automatically sent.

Automation is a PRO feature - you will not be able to schedule statements on a Forever Free account.
