A contact can be attached to a prospect, client or supplier and allows you to;

  • View important contact information.
  • Generate quotes, invoices, statements, purchase orders and other reports attached to the contact.
  • Email the contact directly from Knack.


Clients and suppliers can have any number of contacts. Prospects can only have one.






Adding or Editing a Prospect Contact

A prospect may have only one contact. You can add a prospect contact by;

  • Creating a new prospect. When you enter the information for the prospect, the contact information will be required.

A client may have any number of contacts. You can add a client contact by;


You can edit a client contact by;

  • Finding the client and entering the Client View.
  • Scroll down to the contact information.
  • Click on the contact to view more information.
  • Click "edit contact".


Quotes, invoices and statements cannot be generated unless the client has at least one contact.
